MDA Fill the Boot

Fill the boot is a long standing tradition in the fire service across the nation. Since 1954, firefighters have been collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). MDA used these funds to help research the fight against muscular dystrophy and improve the lives of those affected.

Sun Lakes Purse Bingo

Purse bingo takes place annually and is hosted with Built by Referral Realty. This event is a fund raiser for the organization in which participants get to come purchase bingo cards and play for name brand designer purses! Built by Referral Realty then generously donates all proceeds to AFMA Firefighter's Charities to help support our programs.

Sun City West ARC show

Every year, the Sun City West Automotive Restoration Club puts on a car show for all members of the community to come out and put on display all the vehicles they have put countless hours into. AFMA Firefighter's Charities cooks food for the event to raise money to support our local programs.

Heatwave Hangout

In 2018, AFMA faced a difficult year as several of our members were diagnosed with cancer. In true Firefighter/EMS spirit, our AFMA family came together at Tim Finnegan's Pub to show unwavering support and raise funds to assist with their treatment and help their families through challenging times.

What started as a moment of solidarity has grown into a cherished annual event. It's more than a fundraiser—it's a symbol of unity, strength, and compassion within our ranks. Most importantly, this is the only event where 100% of the proceeds go directly to our Health and Relief Fund, which is dedicated to supporting our sick and injured members when they need it most.

We gather not just to raise money, but to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who’ve spent their careers standing up for others.

Holiday Toy Drive

Each year, AFMA Firefighter's Charities works to bring the magic of the holidays to low-income schools in our community.

With the generous support of donors and community partners, we raise funds to purchase toys for children who might otherwise go without. But we don’t just deliver gifts—we bring them to the schools and let the kids pick their own presents. This way, every child gets to feel the excitement and joy of the holiday season, without feeling left out.

It’s a simple act that creates lasting memories—and it wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of those who believe in the power of giving.
